AMC TUBE AMPLIFICATION SERIES
WELTRONICS
AMC
The awakening of a Sleeping Beauty
Peter Bath and Malcolm Blockley, formerly at NAD, Acoustic Research, Proton and others, harnessed the cost efficiencies that are available from AMC's “common-platform” product design and ODM JIT SoD production efficiency to bring to market a product range that pretty much ticks all the boxes on an Audiophile’s wish list … at very attractive prices.
"There is absolutely no doubt in our mind that both the AMC tube amplifiers and the solid state Sanken mosfet amplifiers are some of most astounding values out there today ... no doubt at all ! "

AMC CVT-3030 MK2 se
The first variant of the AMC 3030 was launched in 1995, and it put its mark on Audio History by garnering an absolutely unexpected and special market position. In times when tube amplifiers were waning in popularity, this hybrid integrated amp won one accolade after another.
Today, 25 years later, we present the "Rebirth of a Classic" in the form of the current MK2 version ... With improved circuitry, even better components and IR remote control !
At a really untypical price, AMC is offering audiophiles a very high quality, fully equipped integrated amplifier with a tube output stage. On top of that they threw in a discrete circuit Phono MM / MC input ... Funny how, of all things ... this just so happens to be relevant today.
AMC's legendary circuit of MosFET driver stage and tube power stage has been retained in the MKII. The effort involved in the design of the circuitry and in the choice of components used is really enormous. In the latest version, further improvements to components and circuit details were implemented. State-of-the-art industrial production uses high-quality transformers that can also be adjusted to the respective impedance of the loudspeaker used.
Ease of Service for "very" long-term functional integrity was also built into the MKII's concept. This translates into an ingenious sub-circuit "modularity" and a awe-inspiring tank-like build quality. Instead of "bling" they gave us a "Hummer". Standard tubes such as the EL 34 are used here. Quality here too: AMC uses selected Russian tubes that have proven to be the best in terms of sound ... short of TELE Wing-Anodes or Blackburn Mullards ... but if "roll we must then roll we can"... the new MK2 thankfully got fitted with a set of nice octal tube sockets.
A carefully thought through recipe for years of hassle free enjoyment of the natural sound of your AMC amplifier.

AMC CVT-3100 MK2 se
The little brother of the AMC-CVT 3100, the AMC-CVT3030, was launched in its first variant in 1995 to great acclaim. Shortly after the 3030's re-incarnation in MKII form, AMC is responding again ... this time to the demand for higher output "tube power" to drive difficult speaker loads.
Meet the AMC-CVT3100MKII. As with the CVT 3030 MKII, this 80W RMS tube amp ups the ante even further in terms of $ per "musical Watt" Value.
AMC's design approach for the CVT 3100 MKII uses the same mechanical and circuitry foundation as used for the 3030 ... just that this one delivers 50W RMS more than the CVT 3030 MK2 from a quad of KT88s / 6550s. And it does this whilst remaining equally uncompromising in terms of relative SQ.
Got 85dB loudspeakers @ 4 ohms ? The current drive from this amp's massive OPTs and very generously over-rated Power Supply will tame your urge to opt for a solid state powerhouse !
What ? ... Not enough power ? ... well OK, take a "look-see" below !

CVT 2100 MKII
Bridge-able
VT Power Amplifier
The AMC CVT 2100 MK2 is a high-performance tube-based power amplifier with 2x80W or 1x160W in bridged mode.
It is essentially the CVT 3100 MKII minus all the Preamp functionality and connectivity.
It's key reason for existing is that it can be configured to deliver twice the power of the Stereo version if required.
It was designed to be a "separate" that could be used
with AMC's own separate Preamps, the CVT 1030 MKII or the Solid State Xpi...or with preamps from other manufactures.

CVT 1030 MKII se
Preamplifier
The AMC-1030 tube preamplifier follows the same modular format of our classic CVT-3030. It has now also been upgraded to MK2 level ... and comes with motorized remote control !
With its 5 RCA inputs, a MM Phono Input, a Headphone Output, Bass and Treble controls, it offers all the functions you would expect from a preamp in this category.
It boasts remarkably excellent THD, S/N and Frequency Response specs for a tube preamp, and can handle high input voltages that make it compatible with any kind of music ... even complex music with exceptionally demanding dynamics !
With the MK2 Tube Rollers can now "tweek away".

(*) Headphones Output
The signal passes through the FET / Vacuum Tube topology circuit to deliver Class A vacuum tube sound.
AMC designed the output stage with high speed amplifiers with internally phase-compensated gain and a high slew rate of 3.0V/uS @ fT=10MHz . The noise floor is low at 1.8uVrms.
So, this output can drive all types of headphones with various impedances comfortably. AMC designed the outputs to be purely resistive. As such, the sound quality of headphones will be dependent on the characteristics of the headphones used.
VRI - The Rotary Volume Input Topology
A step-less potentiometer switches the source, no switch or relay.
The fine signals are passed on to the other amplifier stages free of contact difficulties.
Only what is not lost in the front, can also be restituted in the output stage!
HCO Power Topology
HCO - High Current Output Power Supplies
Music consists of impulses. However, regular power supplies, and in particular switching power supplies, are designed statically.
The HCO technology, in contrast, provides dynamically much higher power reserves whilst delivering extremely high current output.
Toroidal power supplies, in combination with the legendary Sanken output transistors, unleash the music with all its dynamism and liveliness ... even with difficult speaker loads !
